Goodell should be forced to uphold all the NFL rules, especially the National Anthem rule which states:

The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the NFL League Rulebook. It states: 'The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. 'During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the f**g, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American f**g is in good condition... ...It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the f**g and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.'”

Yes, forced patriotism is what is needed. It worked for the N**is why not the NFL. We could have military parades like North Korea, force those lazy kids out of school for the day. What a great idea to MAGA.

It appears you're one of those people who believes in following only the rules you like. I'm glad there aren't more of you.

UM... Did you even bother to read that link you posted at the end of you message?

It clearly points out that the rule does NOT exist. Someone just made it up, in response to this controversy --- because, as usual, conservatives can't justify their views, without lying.

When you have a POTUS who disrespects Americans every day by going against the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Laws of this country, all bets are off.

Some rules are made to be broken.

Edit: It turns out this was a f**e rule posted as a knee jerk reaction to what the players chose to do after trump's temper tantrums over the last week. Sound familiar? Look no further than the Oval Office for the answer to that question. End Edit!

The show of support by NFL teams across the country yesterday was encouraging. What I viewed was a quiet display of solidarity. I'm sure the support will only grow in the weeks to come.

Will other sports pick up the torch which is now aimed solely and directly at trump, not at disrespect for our f**g?

This president has failed to show that he understands what is going on in our country. He's lived in his ivory tower and is now trying to rule like an oligarch.

He's fighting a losing battle on this subject, like so many that he's taken on since he decided to throw his hat into the ring and run for office in 2015. His campaign was nothing more than revenge at being humiliated by President Obama at the 2011 White House Correspondence Dinner. Remember that trumps ACHILLES HEEL is humiliation and shame!

And he was humiliated again yesterday when the NFL, it's players, and it's owners chose to quietly protest what trump chose to say and tweet. Even Robert Kraft (who used to be a "close" friend of trump) spoke out against trump over he weekend. Will their relationship be forever changed after trump's uncontrolled outbursts over the weekend?

It would show respect for our country if all sports teams turned down visits to the White House as long as trump remains in office. I'm sure that future Presidents would catch up on their missed visits, but trump doesn't deserve any more time in front if a camera at the expense of winning sports teams.

They aren't forced to take the job. Like all jobs, there are rules to follow.

You all claim that Trump breaks laws, but no instances are cited other than what their news makers conjure up.

The First Amendment to the Constitution provides for the right of free speech and the right to petition the government for a "redress of grievances" --- meaning Trump's comments counter the very document he has shown to uphold.

The Mueller investigation is still gathering extensive evidence of broken laws. One charge that is going to be proven is Obstruction of Justice. Other charges are still under wraps, but ties to the Russian Mob and money laundering are definitely in the mix. You just need to be patient and let the investigation run it's course. Although trump supporters seem to be in denial of ANY wrong doing on the part of trump, his family, his businesses, and his entire administration, they're going to be shocked by the depth of corruption that will be revealed.

We've already seen two former associates of trump brought down by lies and omissions on their Security Clearance applications.

The 40+ Cubic Tons of Evidence that have already been gathered in the first three and a half months of the investigation is just the tip of the iceberg that will sink trump, his family, and his entire administration.

Remember that the Watergate investigation took just over 12 months to get to the point of impeachment, before Nixon chose to resign rather than face the charges.

This and the other House and Senate investigations are still in their infancy stages based on the Watergate time line.

Even the RNC, has been accepting funds from Russian operatives with close ties to the Kremlin and Putin, which trump has been tapping to pay his legal bills in the Russian Collusion involvement in the 2016 E******n investigation.

Follow the money!

Free speech does not allow for breaking laws and rules.

Yee of little faith!

Give the investigation time to get to the root cause!

Rome wasn't built in a day.

That pedestal you have trump up on is starting to wobble severely!

The fact is that you all celebrate something that doesn't exist.
Aren't you all tired of your news makers constantly coming up empty ??
