I currently use this system. Does anyone else?
I've recently looked into it. Seems interesting. I'd like to test drive it sometime.

Welcome to the forum. I use the Zone System Express, Blake has done a good job putting all the actions together into one place it saves a great deal of time. I use it the most adjusting tones and color each individually ie rgb.
This new update has added many more actions into this program.

VG..Always when I look at the histogram
Welcome to UHH forum
Alas, vg, you are truly quickly an UHH person!! Never [OK too often don't] give any references so that you and a few can be part of an elite club of knowledge!! [non-shared info!!??] Me, life in R&D industry ... a stickler for giving references for any thing not almost universally known. [So ignore the precised harshness of my sticklerism]
For those not part of the exclusive Zonesystem Express club, link to Blake Rudis PS add-on is explained in detail here:
http://www.yiflix.com/video-download/s7Gq4NiZmIzpiJ0/review_overview_of_zone_system_express_from_blake_rudis.htmlSo for only $250, one can have the free "LIGHT ZONE" coupled to PS. Light Zone shows areas in the various "zones" of light intensity which were formally introduced by Ansel Adams who used a Synapse powered computer. "Ansel Adams' Zone System is now easily replicated in Photoshop thanks to Blake Rudis."

Heh, he says "it's like luminosity masking, but more precise", and then proceeds to create a bunch of luminosity masks.
I am familiar with the Zone System of photography, started by Fred Archer who had Ansel Adams as his main collaborator but I have never heard of a "Zone System Express."
Anything wrong with the original Zone System?
I used the 'Zone System' quite a lot in the early 1970's on my B&W prints from a 5x4 camera, working towards my ARPS Distinctions Panel of prints. The 'System' worked for me then, and it still does now in the 'Digital ' arena.
dpullum, your first link goes to a page that is probably the worst introduction to a new thing I've ever seen. It's useless, you can't even view the video full size. None of the links offer any explanation why a free program like LightZone ( which I've had for years) would cost 250 dollars to become a PS plugin. That's ridiculous to start with. No PS plugin has ever cost even half of that, and you don't need to use PS to get the full benefit of LightZone.
