I had to do a 2 button reset. I held (QUAL and +/-Exposure Compensation button) Simultaneously. ..That took care of the problem. However, what causes this?

Evidently you inadvertently changed some settings...or the camera is haunted.

Auto? Or Apeture? Just asking! Have heard folks confuse "A" for AUTO when it means Apeture!

You may have had minus exposure compensation dialed in.

If you would post a dark image here, with
"(store original)" checked, then respondents would have some actual information, and be able to do more than wildly guess.

Welcome Home Brother! I was on and in the DMZ, Operation Dyemarker, Khe Sahn and Lang Vie on the Laotian border, close enough for me!

Where is the picture? Click on "store original" so we can see the camera data.

Just a note! Before I would have done a full reset, I would have tried to figure out what had taken place by looking at all the settings! By doing a full reset you missed what took place right or wrong!

No, we keep asking to have original images posted here with "(store original)" checked. If the OP would do that, we would still have an opportunity to figure this out - otherwise we have been shooting in the dark.
