These shots are from Silliman Beach, in Dumaguete, Philippines. These were taken with the Olympus TG-4.

A trip like that has been on my bucket list. Now age has crept in and it will not happen. I particularly enjoyed the colorful urchins in #5 and the volute in #8. Thank you so much for posting some of your memories. I would like to see more. My husband was stationed in Guam for nearly 3 yrs. and I fell in love with the warm, crystal clear water inside the reef. That was 1963 and I still miss the island as it used to be.

Thanks for sharing. Wonderful photos. I plan to snorkel in Hawaii with a TG-5.

Any advice?

Thanks, a couple of thoughts. I don't care for use of the flash, to much reflection. The underwater mode words well. The macro underwater mode also works if you plan on getting that close. I have had several underwater cameras and a general comment is to always be super aware of the card and battery doors. A gentle blow every time you get ready to close it can prevent a loss of the camera. As you can see, I have the TG-4 with the TG-5 arriving in February. Good luck and enjoy. Oh I should add, the TG-5 offers easy control of the GPS, make sure you turn it off when not actually using the camera, it drains the battery, not a problem for two or three hours but not good for all day use.

Nice shots! I hope you realize how dangerous the shell in photo number 8 is. It's called a Textile Cone and it's sting is absolutely deadly.
