Having messed up with the 300 mmf/4 yesterday, I returned today with my old ( and I do mean old) 70-300 mm vr. Had a good idea when the geese would arrive....they'er late risers.
Both pictures were shot with Nikon D7100

f/8 @ /1000 sec using polarizing filter.

Can't beat the tried and true D7100 for good action shots, great pictures. Just one comment, why did you need such a high iso?

I always use a higher ISO when shooting waterfowl.
Allows me to use a higher shutter speed. and because it's a D7100...because I can!

TY Ched. I'm still using the ole 70-300mm I purchased 8 yrs ago...version one...still produces tho doesn't it?
