Good for you, sounds like my scenario, I will be holding on to my D800E as a second body/backup for alternate lens. Really interested in your opinion on performance and ease of use more so than photos, though I sure they will be superb as well.

Don't have a Nikon F but have the FE and my wife's old EM. It's nice to shoot film from time to time. Use the D500 now. Have owned D40, D5100, D7200 and now D500. Wish list: D850 or maybe tge replacement for D750.

I was fortunate to get the D850 from Camera Kingston (Ontario, Canada) on the day it was released. There were two other copies sent to the store and were spoken for.
It is a terrific piece of equipment. At this time Lightroom 6 does't supported this model to date, but Adobe is supplying a RAW converter which you would then Import your shots to LR. A little slower but workable for the time being. Have fun with it when it arrives. B^)

Post a review and pictures when she arrives... You live in a fantastic photogenic country. Back in the 90's I use to travel to India and shoot video. I've been all over your country. Love the curry and I kn ow what to do with my left hand. LOL

Whoa you lucky guy. I am turning 71 in Feb. and I can't get one. I just got the 500 and really like it.
Good luck with the toy and look forward to seeing test shots.
By the way I wish I had kept my Brownie Hawkeye.
