The Cardinal looks a little the worse for the wear. Is it molting? I've seen other Cardinal photos where the birds were molting and this reminds me of them.

Two of my favorite birds. I don't see a lot of thrashers up here in PA

Brown Thrashers are one of my favorite birds. We had never seen them at our feeder in many decades, but when my father in law was near death from old age (at our home), a Brown Thrasher began constantly pecking on his bedroom window and has been visiting us and staring in our window, along with his family, ever since.

They are not that common here, either. Also, they are very shy. I was lucky to get this shot through my kitchen door. Thanks for looking in.

That is a curious thing. We never know what God or nature has in store for us.
