I downloaded and did a little sharpening and dehazing. I added light to eyes to make them pop as well as darkened his pupils for contrast. I can post my edits if you prefer. Nice shot and good capture. Gary

Great shot! I will be going there in January - any tips? Richard
Depending on how you are travelling and with which tour/safari company, be prepared for lots of company. January and February are the main tourist months in Kenya due to the dry weather which forces the animals to gather around the few remaining water holes. This makes them easier to locate. I could write a book of tips on Kenya but I recommend taking two bodies with the lenses you want to use mounted, and don't change lenses in the field. The dust is horrendous and sticky. Take an empty bean bag and fill it with beans when you get there. Tripods and monopods are useless in the vehicles used in Kenya.
