I think I got it this time. A white balance adjustment using the white strip at the edge of the road.

If I was blunt I would say your applying HDR software as an easy fix but if you like the result all is well. However if you processed it correctly in Photoshop you can adjust color as you see fit in a selective manner without getting halos noise and artifacts that HDR software introduces. Using Topaz or Nik can give you the final touch.
Your 4th image in the road series looks far from natural and the software has changed the sky color to a very strange murky and dirty blue rather than the natural bright sky you started with. All HDR software often screws up skies.

I PP in DxO 11, too, but no HDR applied to the original.

Original is with a Sony A6000 and an old Minolta Rokkor 50mm f1.4 lens. As taken, the image is rather blah.

Second image is a prep of the original with DxO Optics Pro Elite.

Finally, last image uses the 2nd image and does a one image HDR using NIK's Efex Pro 2. I tried real hard to not overcook and I think I accomplished it. Certainly I like the HDR image better than the original and also the intermediate image.

I didn't see a problem with the first. They all look nice to me
