Image bins

I need some way to display my 11x14's and 5x7's in a bin that looks presentable, maybe plexi-glass or plastic of some kind? I'm using some home made wooden ones right now, they look homemade, are far too heavy and don't project the image I would like. Any suggestions?

Maybe use Masonite over a 1x1 frame and paint it with white enamel. Depending on the look you want, you might be able to do something with aluminum tubing.

Unless I have misunderstood the question, you are looking for something in which to carry your photos to and from sales locations. I'm assuming you have a booth set up and people stop by to look through your offerings and select what they want, correct? Check Office Depot, Staples, Home Depot, or Lowe's for plastic tubs or bins. They usually have lids, come in clear and a variety of colors, and are somewhat weather resistant. You can get them in several different styles/designs and various sizes.

Also, consider choosing a bin that is sized so that you can place your photos 'length wise,' and close the lid for travel & 'side ways' for display - so the photos stand up.

I'm looking a box which is low in the front and high in the back so the images in the mats can be seen and rest when not being viewed. I see them all the time at events but have ahd no luck in getting the info out of anyone...

I use canvas print racks for the larger matted prints. I use the medium rack for 11x14‘s matted to 16 x 20. The link below is where I buy them. For the smaller 5x7 not matted I use wire racks found in the kitchen area of Walmart.

Print bins can be purchased from several art supply houses. They come in different sizes and constructed from various materials. I prefer the canvas bins in that they are light weight, easy to transport and are both durable and attractive. They have a professional look to them as opposed to homemade.

Being a diehard DIYer I'd build one myself. Dead easy. If you can find a tv table with folding legs and a snap off top, that frame could be used with a canvas sling which you could get the fabric at a fabric store.
