I'm getting all next week off and due to my wifes 24hr EMT schedule, she'll be off also!! Yay....
I've got tickets for the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY and can't wait to take some photos....
I'm pretty sure that I'll end up using my 24mm f/1.8 and my 50mm f/1.4 most of the time as it's inside and probably fairly tight quarters as I recall (I was there once a long time ago)
My wife has never been there so she's pretty excited...we haven't gone many places in the last few years, with our schedules and all that has to get done around here...this will be nice. We are planning on staying two days. (if we stay longer the puggies will starve to death)
For those who have never heard of the Creation Museum:

I've got Monday off next week. Didn't tell my husband. Shhhhh!
A day for me. He is flying to Alaska Friday and a bunch of guys are renting motorcycles and touring Alaska for 10 days. I begged to go and rent a truck to haul all the geer. If it wasn't for the fact that it screwed up all the hotel reservations I think I could have made it. No other wives would go. Rats.
I'd never heard of...
thanks for sharing, would love to go there.
I'm sure you'll have a great time.
Fascinating! I'm sure we all look forward to a report of your impressions.
Cheers,
R.

I will. I hope that my lenses are suited to the exhibits. I'm pretty sure that the 135 is not going to be right...it's a real "isolation" lens....but the 50 will work and the 24 i'm sure would be good.
I've been pondering a 14mm purchase but funds are too tight to get it before this trip..though I'd love to do it.

Oh boy...that was short lived.
I found out that I could use Bill-me-later at B&H and I got it!
It will be here Friday....ready for the trip!
I'm so weak....

When your eyes see big black spots, go lie down.
Congratulations. Do have a safe journey and a grand time. We'll all be waiting for photos.....(Wish I was closer so I could babysit your puggies) Oh, and be careful that all the excitement of new equipment doesn't go to your head!!! Hate to see you go floating away before you even get started!!!

Thanks!
I had to buy two automatic feeding bowls, I couldn't figure out how to get the puggies fed while we were gone...we've never been gone more than a day trip since they've been here.
