Hoping to complete this post while I still have power - lights are flickering.
My home on the Gulf coast is in a mandatory evacuation zone. Had made plans to take my mother- she lives in the same zone - and spend the next day or so with my daughter and her fiance. They are in the process of moving into a new home and decided that the
disarray in their home would not be suitable. So, Mom went to my brothers home, and the rest of us accepted an invitation hunker down with some of my future son-in-laws family.
So here we are since mid morning today. Have spent nearly all day on the covered patio. Bear, wine, barbecued steaks and lobster tails and the constant droning of the radio description of the progress of the hurricane.
Came inside to see what was happening in the rest of the world, but I think the board games are about to start.
Going to post a link to a rather good site from a nearby locality that covers the hurricane pretty well.
Hope to be back home late tomorrow. I'll check in here when/if possible.

Good luck to you and your family.

My brother Bi-Polar maybe.
Hope you fair well!
Question to others. We have been watching CNN and the Weather Channel. I noticed that the Weather Channel started getting dark just like outside my house in Tennessee. But CNN is still light. Turns out it is one hour earlier.(???) It's basically been one hour earlier all day.
How come? With power outages, does it take an hour to have a runner bring the broadcast to a location with power? LoL

Thank you for your kind thoughts. We are coming out of this safely which I guess is the most important thing. Will post an update after I reply to the individual responses that I have received.
