I have a simple and maybe sill questions. Will this printer print just plain and color documents? I know it is primarily a photo printer, but I want to make sure that it also prints documents before I buy it.
It will, but the ink is so expensive that I wouldn't use it very often for that. I use it to print my checks because they won't work in my laserjet printer that I use for most general printing.

Thanks. I don't have space for two printers. However, I don't do that much printing of documents. I want to print more photos so I want to print them at home.
It is a dedicated photo printer, it will print documents on 8.5 x 11/14 paper but slow* and with a lot of use of expensive photo inks (in this case pigment inks at that).
At least my Pro-100 is slow as molasses when I tried it and I would be surprised if the Pro-10 would be faster. For one thing they have Standard and High Quality, no Draft setting when used with PS/LR and Print Studio Pro. And that is photo standard, not document/text standard.
If you only occasionally need to print text documents, it will work. Make sure you use the standard letter formatting and not Photo Printing and plain paper setting. Otherwise it will lay down too much ink, wasting ink.
Be warned the Pro-10 is a large and heavy (44 lbs). Make sure you have the room for it.
I use a Pro-100 & Pro-10 to print photos and occasionally documents. I print the majority of my documents on a B&W Laser printer. You can now buy one for as little as $60 and they are much cheaper for everyday printing and take up a small space. Mine is 13x13x13".
