I am putting this up in response to Voss's shooting on the turn technique in That Which Was Behind Me. You see these groups all over the historic part of the city (Antwerp) and after a while you stop looking. I was walking along the top of a T junction and this lot were down the virtical leg. Normally they break into little clusters but this group were all in line like a class. I had actually gone past the junction and I thought 'That is a shot' and took a couple of steps backwards and also took the shot on the turn, then I turned back and carried on. I think it must have been the act of stepping backwards that caught their attention It wasn't until I uploaded it on the computer I found I had been busted eight or nine times, not sure about the woman to the left of the tall guy in the middle. Anyway, unless anyone can go for nine or more, I am claiming this as a record for the maximum number of times being busted in a single attempted candid exposure.

In Download, she got me but I don't think the lady in the spots second left did so I am counting eight.

I like your shot, but I bet they spotted you before you spotted them. They were probably getting bored and something interesting (you) came along.

Thanks Voss. The more I think about it the more I think you are right.

I picture think they were happy having their taken. They don't seem to be paying attention to the guide.

I agree that the guide was boring them--you were more interesting.

Thanks aaciolkowski and John.

I think so too. Being a guide is not hard work but it must be difficult to keep the enthusiasm alive saying the same things in the same places all day long. Still, she seems to be trying hard. I think the people just want the thing to end so they can sit down in one of these pavement bars they have been passing by all afternoon long.

Lady on the far left seems to be far, far away; perhaps in la-la land.

Is there a camera that mounts on your head and is camouflaged to look like a straw hat. Or sits on your shoulder and loojs like a pet monkey.

From the rear, the guide is interesting enough to wish she had busted you, too!

She seems much too sophisticated to be involved in an activity like this. I wonder if she uses the camera of if it is just a fashion accessory.

I think you might be on to something there. Why don't you suggest it to Nikon, there might be something in it for you.

Unfortunately some of the most interesting women always seem to retain their air of mystery, damn it.

Why wouldn't the group see you? You were standing behind the speaker. I've had my shots photo bombed. What is the term for tour bomb?

I know, the point of putting the photo up was that my feeble attempt to conceal the camera in order to get a candid shot was a miserable failure. About half of the group spotted what I was up to so I was not being as smart as I thought I was. Normally, I would have filed the shot under 'Neglect' but Voss got away with it and I didn't so I was letting folks see the technique can be a mixed bag. A word for multimpe bombing, I don't know, possibly a 'group granading' I am net being particularly inventive today.
