Some of the signs we saw on our way from Anchorage to Denali were very interesting. We also took a helicopter ride to see Denali, but the clouds moved in. Here is one which shows Denali way in the background.

I remember seeing some of these when assigned to Elmendorf AFB in the late 70's. That first one is true, though sometimes a couple of the mosquitos would have to double up if the victim was large.

Actually, the mosquitos in Alaska are really not that bad...they taste just like chicken!

Funny signs. Hard to believe that highway departments would actually put signs like that by the side of the roads. Someone has a sense of humor.

Humorous, but oh so true, particularly the first one, lol.
Had a guide tell us of a contest by a entomologist professor, with his students, of who could kill the most mosquitoes with a single swat on their arm. It was well over 200!
