Our herd has moved out after the cougars and Bobcats moved in, Neighbors are finding deer legs in their trees on
their property.
We have to keep a watchful eye on our pets as well, if they predators don't get them the Fox and coyote will.

What a shame! But I guess we all have to eat, huh? Nice shots. I like the deer with the rack. Thanks for sharing!

The herd had moved out approx a year ago and that should had been the tip off. Whats left - i hope survive. The neighbors can hear them calling at night and warn others to bring their pets in.

Glad you enjoyed the pictures.

You've got some serious wildlife there, "Deer legs in their trees"! Some nice Deer photographs too.

We actually have a lot of urban wildlife around Los Angeles of all places, especially at the foothills of the San Gabriel and Santa Monica Mountains: Black Bear, Mountain Lion, a couple species of Deer, Coyote, Skunk, Opossum, Bob Cat, Jack Rabbit, Woodpeckers, Scrub Jay, Mockingbird, Crow, Raven, various Eagles, Hawks, and Owls. Many of the Deer have adapted to staying near Human and pet Dogs to avoid the dangerous predators. Generally here when the predators start killing near homes they are captured and released elsewhere.

I've always enjoyed your shots of the various deer characters and I'm sorry to hear they've fallen on hard times! I'm sure you do miss them!

Beautiful shots of the deer. Too bad they had to move out, but that is the way of nature. It is a cycle of life.

Unfortunately you are correct, Tikva. By chance do you know of the Gunnerson's ( Mary and Ruthie) ?
They own a home in Waukesha as well.
