Did you know?
Going back to their earliest products, Adobe has made a practice of hiding little "easter eggs" in their various programs. In the case of both Illustrator and Photoshop, the Adobe programming team has hidden a "Secret" About Box that replaces the normal splash page or About Box with a different more creative graphic, usually based on the code-name for that version of Photoshop. (Big Electric Cat, Strange Cargo, White Rabbit, etc.)
In the case of Photoshop CS6, the code-name was "Superstition." You can trigger display of the secret About box by holding down the Command (Mac) or Control (Windows) while selecting About Photoshop...

I did not know this. Thanks for the tip
One my favorite easter eggs was in Microsoft Access ('97, I think). You had to create a blank database and few other steps and you got a clickable "Magic 8 Ball."
What is the secret to this information in CS5?

I am right there with you Wanda...CS5 please?
LOL, I just tried it with Photoshop 7, and got a cool "Liquid Sky" display. Thanks for the tip!
Wanda and Niko, try the same thing: hold the the Ctrl key and hit About Photoshop or CS5 or whatever it says; see if it works.
Forgive me but I have to ask...I did it on CS5 and it came up with White Rabbit..does it do anything beside show us that pic with the program creator information? And if it has more to it how to you get that info?...thank you!

No, that is about it. Just a curious quirk that the programmers sneak in (also referred to as "Easter Eggs") and have been doing for years.
There was an "Easter Egg" in the beta versions of LR4, but it was deleted by the suits at Adobe before its commercial release. Some geeks hoped it would re-appear in 4.1. But alas, the Adobe suits seem to have lost their sense of fun -
NO EASTER EGGS FOR YOU!! (Unless it has to be accessed another way.... hmmm?)
Just don't play around trying to find it; IF it is there, someone with the skills and unlimited time to spend on meaningless minutia will eventually find it.

video game developers do this as well. :)
Since I know more than my fair share of developers, I get the location of the easter eggs before the game ships. Ya I'm a nerd.
Even movies & videos have them. In "Searching for Nemo" you can catch a glimpse of Woody and Buzz Lightyear toys in the dentist's office.
You want to hold down, on a Mac, the "Command" key.

In Windows 7 there is 'God Mode' (you can rename it).
It basically puts every computer control/adjustment in one place. Especially good if you don't know your way around Windows and for a shortcut if you do.
Can't remember how to activate. Google it.
Check it out.

Sometimes I like the more gratifying '
Devil Mode' -- simply yank on the power cord.
Instant gratification and freedom to go out and shoot something!
