This old girl introduced her her babies to us yesterday. She is a very loving mom and plays with her younguns. I apologise for the quality of the pictures it was late last night and the lighting wasn't the best. I had to set the ISO up to get them and was shooting through my window glass and hand holding the camera. But all in all the scene was magical. Mama was watching the little ones and one of them started to play charge at mom. You could see the love in her demeaner as she lowered her head and they gently head butted. Mom walked slowly foreward and showed the little one who was boss. My wife and I are blessed to live so close to nature. I hope you like the pics.

A camcorder would have been my back up, then could have a movie of the lesson. Glad you were there to catch the pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for these heart warming photos.

The cutest thing ever. Thanks for sharing.
Great shots, does this kind of thing happen often?

eskiles, my sister, Dody Kettler, is a realtor in Palmer! Small world! She often posts similar experiences on FB. I am retiring in Dec. and still trying to convince Mama that we need to move up there--away from Peoples Republik of Kalifornia! :)
I have had the pleasure of their visits quite often. I have had bears, fox, porcupine, lots of birds. Our property borders Chugach state park and the animals are never harrassed and feel safe. I don't hunt with guns anymore only with camera, much more satisfying!

We would welcome you. Although California has many plusses you live in a beautiful state with its own character. Alaska has its challenges too! Just remember, this is Sarah Palins neighborhood! Ha Ha.
