When you ask the local people for directions and how far it is to walk there they say "5 minutes". I caught the courtesy bus from the hotel which only goes as far as the outskirts of the centre, I asked where the cable car station was....yes you got it right....5 minutes walk! Well 40 minutes later I was there. I took a few shots along the way and realised on looking up at the sky probably not a good day to visit Monte Palace gardens, but I jumped on the cable car and off I went. Not the best shots through the dirty windows and glare from the glass but hope you enjoy the views. It was raining at the top, garden set to follow.

Sylvia, this series is a delightful peek at a lovely part of the world. I think my favorite is the last one. There is something exhilarating about the steep descent of the cable cars and the beauty of the city laid out below!

Pleased you enjoyed them Carol as always thank you very much for your kind comments. It certainly was a lovely view with the sun shining below but raining quite heavily on the top! It was certainly interesting trying to take pics in the cable car, nearly didn't post them. As you can see it is a very built up area, you could actually see inside the houses!!

I love traveling with you to foreign places which I will never see in person, but seeing them through your eyes and camera, I can enjoy each and every scene.
