I use mostly a 28-80 lens from a film camera. It is a very sharp and light lens, easy to carry around. I have the older model, the D600 camera. I also often use the 50 mm AFS-G lens on it and sometimes other lenses. I am mostly using this camera for landscapes and portraits.
Nikon 28-300mm, never comes off unless I really need a close up, then Sigma 50-500mm.
I bought mine in August of 2014 from Cameta. I use my AFS 24-70 f2.8 Nikkor in the studio and for low light shots, and my AFS 24-120 Nikkor as my 'walking around lens'. I'm thinking about buying a 150-600 Tamron, because I tried it out when their factory people were in town, and I got to try one out for a whole afternoon at a local wildlife refuge. This guy 'dared' me to take his photo.
Thank you, shooting portraits I have a sigma 85 1.4 sigma 70-200 which would be the best?

The Sigma 85 would be excellent for portrait. The 70-200 can be even better in certain situations. I would use the 85 as my primary portrait lens if I were you.
I own a D610 but I have to admit that I do not use it that frequently.
My favorite lens on it is an old single coated 50mm f1.4 lens from the early 70's.
