It looks like a flooded river/stream....what am I missing?....is this place dry most of the time?
This was in late May and the run off was a happening thing.

Hoodoos are the rock outcrops just to the left of center in the photo.
Google it for a geological explanation.
if that is what you wanted to show then i would suggest you crop and get rid of the river.
To tell you the truth I was pretty disappointed with the Banff Voodoos as the ones in the New Mexico are much more interesting. Here is your crop version. This was my original work but I thought the river was far more interesting but then again everyone is entitled to their on options. Tell me which one you like best?

There are quite a lot of hoodoos in the Columbia River Valley West of Banff.
