Off camera flash or not?

I'm sure this answer is too late however I'll comment.

After looking at the venue it appears that it's basically a white interior and the ceilings are relatively low-ish. (under 25 feet) so using bounce flash with a snoot would work great. I've seen it done by Neil Van Niekerk in a lot more adverse conditions than this.

Using a snoot keeps the flash directed and out of folks faces, it's hardly noticeable.

Just search "black foamy thing" and Neil Van Niekerk and you'll get a very useful way to use on camera flash for very cheap.
