So- I am down on Chocolate Bayou, in West Galveston Bay, and I am watching this Heron. He strikes, we both miss-- And I catch a glimpse of a Pelican. I start snapping. I haven't re-set anything on the camera from the Heron, this is fluid. The pelican comes by, I get a 3-fer. I catch my breath, almost. Then the Heron jumps off to flight... still no reset. This is what I got - and I only trashed 6 shots... Lucky me... I got caught lookin, and I still got something to show for it. And every now and then somebody asks... Why Photography? well I guess I don't know... really... :-) d---

A nice series. Sometimes it is the unexpected that proves to be the 'keeper'. That is why we do photography. That is one of the wonderful things with digital, you can take a lot of 'just-in-case' shots and sometimes get THE shot.
