I have been shooting a few butterflys

I'll take that back, I've been shooting a lot of butterfly's Most of them Queens, I counted 20 of then the other day all on Greg's Mist flowers.

These were shot on a Sony A6000 with a Sony FE 55mm f/2.8 Zeiss lens using Sony's in camera digital zoom set @ 2.1X in witch = 155.5mm

Nice captures. I have never seen these here in North Georgia but did photograph some down in Largo Florida. I have several species that come to my butterfly bush daily, but I'm more into the caterpillars. I am rearing a Hickory Horned Devil, 8 Gulf Fritillary & a few other Moth species right now...

Thank you Sundar, I find the zoom works better on a prime lens.

Thanks Scott, there rare even in west Texas, they are plentiful where I live included the hackberry butterfly.

You sure have, Johnny, and some beautiful ones!! I wish you'd shoo a few toward Alabama! What kind of leaf in the last? It looks like redbud??

Thank you much Donna, the leaf is from a Hibiscus (tropical) it has variegated large leaves, this one is a about 5 inches, the plant is 4 years old and has never bloomed. but the plant itself is really nice. maybe someday it will bloom.
