...and it's a boy!!
You can tell by the two black dots on the lower wings which are his scent glands.

Hooray for no. 5! He is a pretty boy angela and I know you are thrilled to catch that gorgeous shot of him on the flower!!
Another one leaves the nest. Great shot, Angela.
A fitting finale to an enjoyable set, Angela.

Thanks Merry... David and I went out for breakfast and when we came home, he was still there... we went close to him and he flew off, a beautiful farewell!!!
Glad you enjoyed this on going series, jederick... all in all I will have approximately 20 that will take flight, but I noticed one chrysalis not looking so good this morning
But I must say, this is the best summer ever for all kinds of butterflies... hope they flutter by you soon!!

Thanks kp, for your comment... The nursery is getting smaller, day by day.... still 3 mouths to feed, while the others are waiting their turn to emerge!!

Wow!! You should have a TV series like the other multi-Mom's. You can begin every episode by saying 'You think your kid is an angel? Mine all have wings'!
Beautiful series as well as educational, Angela. I had no idea that the guys had a couple of extra dots.
