I put an orange half on the fence next to a couple of my feeders to try to lure the pair of woodpeckers that are hanging around to stay long enough for me to get some decent pics. Ten minutes later I walked out, and here is what I saw. After he left, the birds wouldn't touch the orange....not any of them. The bug guy said the Assassin bug might have left some odd pheromones.
