We've seen lots of posts about people being given a hard time while taking pictures of people in a public place. Some subjects have even gone so far as to call the police over to get the SD card. I wonder if it would work the other way. Could you call the police over to get people out of your shot? I don't know how many times I have had to wait for people to leave the area so I can get a good shot. Maybe I could call the police and have them order the people to move. It should work both ways, right? Some people don't want to be in a shot, and the photographer doesn't want other people to be in his shot.

It gets pretty aggrivating at times for sure! I wish it would work both ways. Sometimes I get people who try casually posing. Also, sometimes it seems that people start gathering right as I'm setting up, where nobody was around a few minutes ago.

In a situation like that, you want to be seven feet tall.

I just would like zoos, and gardens and parks to have hours that include sunrise or sunset for photographers. We went to Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids a year ago, and because of their hours, every shot I took was done with direct overhead lighting. I would much rather get in when the mist is on the water, and the dew is on the flowers, and the light in down on the horizon.

I really try to avoid those situations, but fools really make that hard to do sometimes...

As far as intentionally taking pictures of people, If you want to have an exciting day, put on your old blue jeans, a hoody and tennis shoes, and go to a neighborhood playground and start snapping photos of all the children. Guaranteed to be a long, exciting day, with name calling and mug shots, etc.

From what I've read, taking pictures of airplane taking off or landing near a large airport will give the same kind of excitement.
