Some of you may remember that a few months ago I asked for your opinions about which of my personal favorite photos I should enter in the Evergreen State Fair. Thanks for all your ideas. There was such a diversity, though, that I just had to choose on my own. Actually, I picked two from the selection that you saw, and a newer one that wasn't in that group.
In about thirty years of entering photos, I have never won anything. So imagine my surprise when I saw one of my photos in a prominent place, with a couple ribbons on it!
It was my personal favorite, "Droopy Daisies," which was on the original post.
I think I'll try again next year after all.
Best in Division, Best in Class (whatever that means). There were lots of photos with bigger ribbons than mine, but it feels good to get something special.

In the end use your own gut feeling. Congrats!!
Congrats and well deserved. My son went to the fair so I'll have to ask him if he saw your photos.
Congratulations and well done.

Congratulations! The size of the ribbon doesn't matter. When you get it home, that ribbon will have no competitors.
Congratulations. A job well done.

Beautiful! Congratulations :-)
Congratulations! Having been to the Illinois State Fair for some of the livestock competition, I believe best in class is like heats in a track meet. That is, there's so many entries, they do an initial subgrouping and select the best in the small groups. Then, the winners of the several classes (subgroups) are rated. 100 total entries could go into 10 x 10 classes. Then, the resulting 10 'best in class' are rated for the final winner of the division, 'division' being the category of photography where your image was submitted.
