Smoky Mountain Sunrise Sequence

I love visiting my dad up in Wolf Laurel, NC (about 25 miles north of Asheville). I often get up before dawn just to listen to the quiet. His deck overlooks the Great Smokey Mountains. One morning (it was actually the day of the eclipse) I decided to photograph the sunrise. These shots were taken over a 9 minute interval.

Wow, what a pretty set. Love the fog that has settled into the low lying areas. Your Dad's place has a view that is the envy of many I bet...I'd give up my non-winning lottery tickets for a place like this. If I had winning lottery tickets...I'd be buying your Dad out. Again...just gorgeous, I could get up to this every morning.

It was very peaceful there - until I put the golf club in my hand later. Ever play a mountain course? You are either on the fairway or have lost another ball.

It's great to watch the fog slowly lifting from the valleys below. Keep buying those lotto tickets!
