Adobe CC only downloading old version of LR

I had to reinstall both Photoshop and Lightroom CC today after both failed to open and froze my laptop. The PS download worked fine, but LR stopped at 72 percent. It was on the machine and openable, but it was the 2015 release, not 2015.4 and the features, especially dehaze, that come with the later updates to 2015. Anybody have any suggestions on how to get the latest release through CC?

Thanks,

gc

What laptop / OS are you using? Could there be compatibility issues?

Have you tried using the "Look for update" option generally found in the Help menu? Also, if you Google "update for Adobe CC 2015," a number of sites come up.

Time to get modern and go to Affinity Photo.

Same thing has happened to me after upgrading to Mac Sierra. Am interested in any practical info that comes across.

Check your computer's drive to see if there is enough memory on it for the program. That could prevent opening. In fact, it can also cause a program shut-down!

If you have already got the latest version of LR on your computer, you should be able to open that. Otherwise, you need to check for updates. If you do the updates, and have enough memory on your laptop, that ought to solve the problem.

If these do not solve the problem, get in touch with Adobe - online chat or by telephone. The technician will probably want to get your permission to access the computer so he/she can look around and diagnose the problem. Usually they let you watch everything they are doing, so no need to worry about them looking at private files. In fact, there are certain things they cannot do!

If you find your computer's drive is getting full, you should consider using external hard drives for photo and document storage.

I have had some issues with updating my Creative Cloud Desktop. Some of the issues involve my Adblocker, my firewall, and my Malware program. I have worked with Adobe, and they have been wonderful. They have requested control of my computer, then opened/closed/installed/updated programs for me...all while I watched. First time, I used a chat program, then the next time, I was on the phone with the Adobe rep. Yes, it took 2 times, 2 months apart, but now I know what I need to close.
As some one else mentioned, don't be afraid to use their help. I played around with this for 2 or 3 days trying all the suggestions. Second time, I just went for help right away.

Good luck.
