Last Wednesday I went to the Clive Cussler Classic Car Museum. What a treat. I haven't been there in a couple of years and had forgotten just how many wonderful cars this man has.

I met Clive Cussler at a book signing a few years back. Got my copy of "Atlantis Found" signed.

I don't suppose you met Dirk Pitt along the way?

No, but have read all of his exploits. Neat place he lives in, a hangar will his own collection of exotic cars with living quarters up above.

I met him at his museum about 5-6 years ago. His daughter is the curator, administrator, and one neat lady!

If you ever make it to Afton, OK, they have an extensive collection of Packard's at the Afton Station.

Reminds me of the Packard Museum in Dayton, Ohio. It offers a great collection of Packard automobiles. Most Daytonians do not know the place exists. Your shot of the Allard is nice to see, not many around. They seem to gravitate to private collections and rarely appear at auction. The camera and lens compliment each other on a shoot like this, nice job.

Packard always had a reputation for high quality. As a little kid I remember a family friend who had a big, green Packard. A '50's-something model. Beautiful car. Packard also built the engines for almost all of the P-51 Mustangs of WWII, as well as the PT boats used in the Pacific. All top quality stuff.

Love the Allard. I actually got a chance to briefly drive a Cad Allard in the early 70s, and it was a hoot - what a beast!

Love looking at old (and still beautiful) cars. Nicely captured.

Thank you. I will be starting another thread (Part II) of more images I took at the museum last week.
