I visited our Wetlands today for the first time. Not sure why I have not gone before now. The project has been completed for several years now.I was pleasantly surprised at how well planned, and pretty the area was. Pretty paths to follow, and several wooden docks, that allow you to walk out and get better views. A few observation decks that overlook the area. Bird blinds, if you are into photographing the birds. It was "extremely" hot and humid when I visited, so I did not stay long. I do plan to go back though. I hope to get a good enough photo to make the 2018 calendar. It is home to a lot of wildlife I took a few pics today, but hope to get much more. Hope you enjoy, and thanks in advance for looking in!

Beautiful series, I just love paths, walkways, and decks it always seems to lead to something spectacular! Nice pics! 😀
tresap23...You got some great shots. what a nice series! The majority of my photography is done at wildlife marshes/refuges. Fortunately there are few near me and I take advantage of them as often as I can. It appears, and sounds like you have a beautiful wetlands area to visit and photograph. I think you will be truly amazed at the many different species of wildlife you will find.

Appreciate the compliments. I think it is. I love nature and shooting wildlife, but I am not an expert in identifying them. Hopefully, as I do more of it, I will learn more. It is a beautiful place. Carefully thought out. The project was started in 2001 and completed in 2004. There is a Research and Education Center that is open Mon thru Fri, to help educate visitors on the wetland environment. Really neat! Not sure if you are near central Texas, but if you are, you might want to visit! Thanks again for viewing my photos.

I moved to Texas from Georgia, where I was raised ,and lived most of my life. I have been in Texas for many years, and I love it. I love both states, and I am proud to call them both home! Having said that, I am FOREVER A "DAWG" fan
Beautiful images, tresap23!
