For all of you who think voter ID laws are about fraud and not suppression, the chairman of the Pennsylvania Republican Party had this to say at their state convention:

“We are focused on making sure that we meet our obligations that we’ve talked about for years,” said Turzai in a speech to committee members Saturday. He mentioned the law among a laundry list of accomplishments made by the GOP-run legislature.
“Pro-Second Amendment? The Castle Doctrine, it’s done. First pro-life legislation – abortion facility regulations – in 22 years, done. Voter ID, which is gonna allow Governor Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania, done."

Now I know some of you are going to talk about the illegal hordes who descend on the polls every year, but c'mon, how many illegal Mexicans do you think are in Pennsylvania? This proves that the whole idea of voter fraud was ginned up by ALEC and sold to Republican legislatures across the country to cement Republican control of the political process both at the state and federal level.

I would have to think the governor of Pennsylvania is in a better position to evaluate his state's problems, and the severity of same, than you or I from LA or Vegas.

THERE ARE NO VOTER FRAUD PROBLEMS. Not in PA, not in any state in the country. This nothing more than a Republican effort to destroy the Democratic party and solidify their grip on government so they can destroy it by turning it all over to corporate America. Wake up and get your head out of the clouds.

Have you taken the responsibility of communicating this information to Pennsylvania's governor? It sound like you know something he doesn't.
Thank you for telling me to "get my head out of the clouds", I never would have known it was there.
Your outstanding public service will not go unnoticed!

You have got to be kidding me ? I dont care where it is, voter fraud happens everyplace ! Listen you can only blame so many things on the GOP or George Bush. Obama is going to loose on his own merits, not some bogus theory that voter fraud caused it all. Get real !

Is voter ID just about illegal voters, or about making sure you are who you say you are, and haven't voted in 3 other places that day. You can't get on a plane, or do countless other activities without showing an ID, and how many people do you know that don't have an ID with them anytime they are away from home? Last election in Mn, there were several hundred more votes counted in a district than there were people registered in that district! I'm not for suppressing the vote, I am for honest elections .

Wow Danilo. You are so much nicer than me. I would have said something more like, "get my head out of the clouds? Why don't you get your head out of your ass". It is a good thing you responded instead of me. :-|

Remember fellow Republicans, they cannot cheat if it isn't close.

You assume its about mexicans, or maybe you just want to steer the converstation there. Have you ever heard of ACORN? Voter ID would stop Fraud. Dead people, made up names, and bussing homeless people to multiple polls, is what this bill aims to stop. Can only see one reason why you would be opposed to it.

Yo -- Troll, if you're against voter ID, you're for voter fraud. End of discussion.

well if Obama is going to lose in 2012 then we had better find someone better than Romney or we are really SCREWED.the last republican president pulled the teeth out of the disability act and got us into a 10 yr war before he had time to forget the names of his staff.
