I didn't take too many photos since I knew there would be professional-level folks out there doing stills and video, with 99% of it available for sale. Still, I wanted to get something of my own making, for a personalized take on the eclipse. So I made what turned out to be a fairly decent timelapse of my house with the eclipse going on in the southern sky behind it with my GoPro camera, though a very wide angle, unfiltered view as you might expect (1800 photos shot over a 2.5 hour session, 1 every 5 seconds).

I made a few pictures with my Fuji S-1 Bridge camera during the early part of the event, but they weren't anything special. When totality came up, though, I did just about everything the online pundits (not here!) said a rookie eclipse shooter would do: I was transfixed as predicted, then snapped out of it only to get amazingly fumble-fingered, probably due to realizing I had 2 minutes & 20 seconds to get something ("and you've probably already wasted half of it, you idiot!!").

Still, I discovered later on when I downloaded what was on the memory card, I got at least something worth showing. This started out as a RAW image; I ran it through PSE (Adobe Camera RAW) to get a jpeg to post here. I thought I read something here that said if I check "store original" then the properties information would be available to whoever wanted to see it, so I'll do that.

Thank you for sharing. Even though there have been lots of eclipse phots posted, it is nice to have some of your own to make it personal.
