How could anyone not know that looking at the sun, eclipse or not, is just plain stupid? You don't see animals staring up at the sun.

The day before the eclipse, I read an article about how "experts" suggest keeping your pets indoors during the eclipse to protect them from the damaging effects of the Sun during totality. I started laughing out loud and my sister thought I had lost my mind! Once I showed her the article, she started laughing too. I guess people should not take babies outside during the eclipse for fear they may stare at the Sun.
