I know that the perspective makes the bloom look much larger, but it's still something like I have never seen! Very nice!

I had one of those a few years ago and I can't remember its name. It only bloomed every couple of years. It's a beautiful plant. By the way, what did you fly primarily in the Navy? I flew P3's.

Nice capture. It is a starfish cactus. We have them growing in shaded areas of our yard, Tucson, AZ. They are succulents, not true cactus. The flowers . . . stink. Indoor and outdoor plants depending on the climate.

Stapelia, also called Carrion Flower due to the smell, which thankfully is slight. I had one a few years ago that bloomed in great profusion. I'post photos if I can find them.
