In the second photo the highlights were reduced and solar flares can be seen in the bottom of the image and the lower right side.

I let the experts and serious solar photographers, (like the ones above), do the serious eclipse photography. I went more for people reactions, natural things etc. Well I did do a couple with my kit lens as not to magnify anything.

1 Here is a shot I thought was interesting. One would normally find a moon cresent on an out house. Nature put in on the ground. I guess that okay since Bear's do it in the woods.

2 I'm pretty sure these two con-trails were chase planes since I don't recall regular flights in that paticular pattern. The smaller trail was from something like a military jet that did a fast sweeping "U" turn.
