What about sunsets?

Everyone who did has a record of a once in a lifetime event, that they want to share with those who did not have the opportunity.

I thought this was an open forum and anyone could post what they want within reason, just put it in the right section. So who are you (or I) to determine what or how many posts can be repeated.

I agree...of course they are all going to look the same...after all...there is only one sun.

I did it for the challenge. Isnt that why you take photos...for the challenge?

I used my Kiron 105 macro for the Eclipse. Got in really close for the 1:1 reproduction size. Really sharp too. 👍

If you font like certain pictures ignore them. There is no law that says you have to look at them.

No, I take photographs because the subject interests me. I spent eclipse time {85%} at a college campus, visiting with students ... and taking pictures as they enjoyed themselves. From what I saw, the average student looked up slightly more than I did {I never did}.

The thing is, fortunately most images of the eclipse have the word "eclipse" in the subject, but I don't remember very many with with the words "out of focus" in the subject.

I also ridid this one from peterff. Cloud cover ruined the San Francisco views for many Thankfully apps can take care of that and this redone pic is now circulating around sf.

But it's kinda funny how members choose to post pics here instead of the main gallery. I'm not sure the preferred section. But since you want other than average -there ya go.
Thanks for shooting peterff!

I'm with you, DaveO. If someone doesn't care about pics of the eclipse, them the should skip that thread & look elsewhere.
