2017 Solar Eclipse 100% totality, Gladstone MO - Nikon D810, Sigma Sport with 1.4 tele
Not all that shabby for my first attempt. I got extremely lucky considering the weather conditions. It was cloudy prior to and then began to get VERY cloudy and started to rain immediately following totality. I was only able to capture a sliver coming out of totality. You can see when the filter was removed. #7 was shot at ISO 12,800
Note the sun spots and solar flares. The crickets were chirping.
I hope to have more favorable conditions in 2024 when we'll have another over Southeast Kansas, if I'm alive and opt to take the drive.
Gorgeous. Congratulations on a beautifully shot series.
Great series of shots, hard to believe this was a first attempt.

Congrats Ponz. Maybe it was cloudy/rainy but it was clear you were prepared - ready for anything and producing some great shots. I wish my first "anything" was as successful.

I enjoyed viewing it with a dark reflecting surface. Fine images Ponz.
Wow, cool series! You caught the whole sequence.
Thank you everyone for the kind words.

Nice series and captures.
Beautiful captures. Well done.
And photos like yours are the reason that I did not bother. Yours are terrific.
