Cameras from a another time.
Over the weekend I found two cameras from the late 1970s. Yashica GSN and a Fujica STX-1. Both cameras work with no problems. Have carry case for both cameras. Their will made great back up cameras. The total cost for both cameras $20.00.
You might consider reposting this in the UHH section known as "Members Buy/Sell/Trade Classifieds" with a picture and, perhaps, a price for each camera. Good luck.
Thanks for the information, but I not looking to sell them. I just wrote the note to tell what I found over the weekend.

I'd like to see them.
Can you post a photo of your treasures?
You got them at a good price. I'm familiar with the GSN, it's a decent rangefinder camera. Very robust. I don't have experience with the STX-1.
With the GSN, it is likely the light seals in the film chamber are corroded and will need to be replaced, but that's a relatively easy project one can do at home. A sheet of light seal foam (you can get that online, not expensive), a razor blade, a tooth pick, a loupe and steady hands is really all that is required to get the job done. A fun project for a rainy day.
I wish I could post pictures but the tower is not working right, everyone talk a good story but no one will come and help me. I one of those people has to have hand on to known how use something
rook2c4, GSN has no problems, everything is fine. I using another camera rate now or I would have film in it.

Nice, especially for the price. Enjoy!
If I recall correctly, the GSN is the camera features in the Spiderman movie (Tobey McGuire) I think.
I have several film yashicas, they are fun and simple to shoot. Here is a CCN in black.
Great purchase!
The Yashica Electro 35 GSN is certainly a very fun and capable rangefinder camera. The GSN was Peter Parker's camera in the Spider-Man movie. Here's my GSN ...

Never knew of a GSN CCN model.
A 35mm lens would have been great.
My first 35mm camera was a Yashica Minister D with a 45mm lens.
I got a Yashica Lynx 14E along with other old cameras. It's really cool with the f/1.4 lens and full manual so I don't need a battery to use it. Well it does need 2 mercury batteries for the meter but I don't need the meter. The first camera I ever used was the Petri 7s. I have 2 of them now but I can't find one in excellent condition. The 2 I got had the faded rangefinder.

I to have the Electro 35 however I find the focus ring very hard to manipulate without one or more of my fingers getting in front of the lens.

My first 35mm camera was a Yashica Minister M with a 45mm lens, which cost me $35 at a local drugstore which was closing out all 35mm cameras. I got what I paid for - it delivered pictures to me for five years but also went in for CLA twice - the technician said that lubrication issues caused the leaf shutter to freeze up over time.
