This may be the first online program that I have seen that actually works. It seems to work fine on my 60D, but I believe that there may be some EOS Canons that it won't work on. Anyway, here it it. Check it out and let me know your thoughts.

Oh yes, it won't work with the FireFox browser, only Explorer browser which allows the Active X downloads.

I have two Canon EOS cameras and neither will display the shutter count. On my t1i I set the photo counter to run continuously so I keep count that way. This program works on my XS and I like being able to keep track.

Yes it's been around a while and you're correct, it does work. Thanks for letting others know its out there.

The program will not work if your PC is a 64bit machine. Only supports 32bit.

http://eoscount.com/FAQ.aspx#browser_32bit
Why does the browser have to be 32-bit?
A browser must be 32-bit, as a 64-bit browser cannot run 32-bit ActiveX controls. The EOSCount control is 32-bit, because the Canon SDK is distributed in 32-bit form only.
