The following shots were taken along one of my favorite trails not far from our house. It's hard to believe this exists so close to civilization. It was once part of a large dairy. Much of the lower pasture areas have been allowed to flood and eventually drain into a river and subsequently into S.F. Bay.

Nice ones Vicki..that's my kind of place to wander around with a camera.
Nice and quiet place to shoot. Enjoyed the series!
Lovely set, Vicki and you're so fortunate to live so close to such beauty!! Thanks for sharing!
Viewing these shots is almost as good as being there! It's a great thing to have a get away like this so close.

Very enjoyable series Vicki, especially like the composition of #1.
What lovely images, Vicki! I'm especially drawn to the first one with the beautiful grasses. It's a blessing to have a bit of undeveloped space to explore close to home.
Nice collection. I especially like 'Wind patterns and waders'.

Very pleasant series, I like 1 and the waders most.
Very nice set Vicki...well done. Areas so close to civilization that remain natural with an abundance of wildlife are eye candy to me. I love to see them, and even have a few near me in Fresno. In fact in a few minutes I'm head to one near my house to try and see what I can come up with this afternoon.
I don't know for sure why, but my favorite of your images is the first shot with the barbed wire fence.
