If you don't like Amazon, then stop using them. End of story.

If you read above (as seems no one does. I already addressed that issue and sometimes one is forced to use them for one reason or another. Not a;ll businesses are run like B & H Adorama, KEH or Cameta. As photographers we are really lucky to have some honest businesses to deal with.

Amazon is mostly just a middleman, they aren't responsible for all errors and delivery problems. I recently ordered car parts via Amazon. The parts box arrived with some missing necessary hardware. Was it Amazon's fault? No it wasn't. I contacted the manufacturer directly and they promptly sent me the missing hardware. I also recently ordered a Leatherman Micra, even though it is brand new, there is a functional problem with the tool. I don't blame it on Amazon, because it is a manufacturer's defect. Yeah, I'm going to have to ship it back to Leatherman to get a replacement.

Amazon is mostly just a middleman, they aren't res... (show quote)

Amazon sells both ways. They act as a middleman drop shipment service and they sell from their own warehouse as any retailer does. They are not real good at defining that either and I have caught them lying about it too.

I not only got a receipt but the fact that they sent me the email refunding my money proves Amazon knows UPS has picked it up. I have had a lot of trouble with Amazon in the last few years.

It's all the grumpy guys at Amazon with arm trouble from pitching curve balls at 13 wondering why you didn't tell them they shouldn't!!

I agree - and also when you buy from Best Buy, Staples, and many other retailers the product instructions specifically state "If any part is missing or defective return to the manufacturer, not the retailer."
