In the Develop mode, the small screen on the left corner, illustrates the effects each preset will have on the photo, when you hover over the selected one. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to have the same "preview" shown on the actual/large photo. Thank you.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think that is possible other than applying the preset and then doing CTRL-Z to undo it.

I recall seeing a video a while ago, where the instructor had the capability to do this. I wish I could remember as to when and where I saw this?

I agree, but my expertise is limited.

I did a look-up on Adobe's online help forum for this, and the topic has been asked and the "correct answer" is that it can't be done. Easily, that is.

This was in 2015; maybe Adobe has added it as an update.

Not until you apply the preset.

Right but CTL-Z reverses the preset

Yes, it can be done. Download and install the anypreset.lrplugin

If you like it, send him some money so you can use it beyond the 30 day free trial - it's only fair.

You won't be able to hover over it as you do in the Navigator window, but a single click will allow you to see the effect in the main develop window without needing to applying and then control Z to remove it and so on.

Yeah, well Ctrl-Z and the Reset button are your "get out of jail free" commands in Lightroom.

Thanks, I knew that. I'm trying to avoid doing what I have been required it do each and everytime (Ctrl Z) to undo. I will do some digging and try and find the video I saw a while ago. The instructor scrolled over the presets and the main picture showed the proposed results. If I locate it, I will share the link with anyone that is interested. Cheers.

I use it and can vouch for it. It works as advertised.

I apply the preset and just go to the history panel on left side and click back to the original.
