Some of my favorite shots were of Glacier Bay and the black sand Diamond Beach in Iceland.

Hard to choose; both are stunning...

Although I'm a big fan of B&W, I really prefer the color shot of this scene. It captures the blue of the icebergs which I remember as one of the highlights of our Alaska trip. They get lost in the B&W. Great image!

Color, by a nose. I like both, and get a different mood from each. Sometimes it is difficult to decide which is better...

Beautiful images ! I like them both.
I am unable to decide between B&W/Color in this case.

On that particular shot, I'd choose b&w. The blue doesn't look quite right to me in the color photo.

Color. The ice needs the blue to set it off.

Color! If photography had started out in color, I wonder if B&W would be as popular as it is.

B&W by far the best choice. Sky, clouds & crashing waves are rendered much better as well.

Black and white for me--it does a better job of showing the power of the waves.

I really like both and am having a hard time choosing. I'll go with color and add that the "blue" is actually how it looks. And more so on cloudy days.

I've never understood that either/or mentality. Why not do both? I frequently offer my images in both BW and colour, and hand-colour some of the ones I shot in BW.
