The black and white one looks like a breed called the Gypsy Vanner, they are magnificent horses.

Allan, in this country, the black and white ones are Gypsy Vanner Horses, often called drum horses. When they were first brought to this country, they were all balck and white, but now they come in ALL colors. They are the horses that pull the Gypsy vans (or wagons)

You people are not helping Allan, he needs advice , his shots are not sharp, and look to me to be out of focus. You never supplied exif Allan, have another go, zoom in and wait until they have a nice pose, rest your camera on a fence post, try using shutter priority at a higher speed than your lens, IE 1/250th of second. I am sure you can improve, be vicious and delete anything not perfect, after all digital is free.
