The Purdue Airport in West Lafayette Indiana hosted five WWII warbirds a few days ago, I thought I would post a few photos from their visit.
A Spitfire, there for only one day, the P-51, B-25, B-17 and B-24 were there for three days giving tours and rides.
Let me know if you have any questions. I hope you enjoy the photos. :)

The WV ANG P51D was mounted on a pylon for years at the entrance to the Charles Yeager Airport in Charleston, WV. It's great to see it reclaimed and restored to flying condition. Thanks for sharing your photos.

Very nice. It's got to be a job keeping them air-worthy.

Great photos!

Do you know to what organization the aircraft belonged?

I think those are from the Collings Foundation.

Suggestion, use a slower shutter speed to photo propeller airplanes in flight. 125th works well in flight, faster than that and the prop appears stopped in flight like the airplane has a dead engine. Prop blur in the air or on the ground is part of the art of photographing airplanes.

I thought they might be from the Collings Foundation.

One of the great shots that I missed was of that B17 coming off the runway in Pompano Beach, FL at dusk and making a hard left, banking, climbing turn at full power; straight out of 12 O'clock High.
