These were taken on the little island of Grimsey which is off the northern coast of Iceland.

The photos are great. We had an expensive tour once to view this bird and when we arrived we got the bad news that they had migrated .

We were there about 2 weeks before they leave. They leave about the 2nd week of August.

The blue of the water in the background makes the birds stand out.
Much better than my earlier puffins posting.
