This looks like a serious accident waiting to happen.

Fortunately there were no serious mishaps.
Just watch that first step, lol! Great shot, and rock on!
Nice shot. That's not on my list of things to do.

Not much of a mountain climber?
Thanks Jerry.

The objective is to ride the section, stay inbounds, and keep your feet on the pegs. It's called 'observed' trials, in the fact that 'observers' are watching and counting points.
You don't want points. One point for each dab (foot on the ground) up to three. Three or more is still a three. The most he can get is a five. If he runs out of bounds it's five points, (goes by the front axil). Various other ways to get a five. He doesn't have to ride the section. He can just take his five and go on. On this day there was 15 sections, (set up on a three mile loop) and they had to ride them all twice. They had about five hours to complete all the sections.
Thanks for the kind words,
Marion
Nice image. Some of them trials riders are just nuts! Ever heard of Hans Rey? Used to ride for GT bikes. I've seen him ride down waterfalls! Crazy.

Well, you don't HAVE to be nuts to ride World Class Competition. But it sure couldn't hoyt.
Hans rides mountain bikes, or downhill bikes. His motor can run on broccoli.
Thanks Marion! Well, he can have it! Too scary for me! lol
