This is from my P3A. I think I was at about 100-125 ft. over the river.

Two very different (& nice) shots, Larry. It's something I must do as most of mine are 'ordinary' sunny day shots--I must get more adventurous.

Earl.

Brian said they appear very dark on his monitor. I'm going to connect a separate monitor to my laptop and compare. I flew Sunday and increased my exposure compensation to +1 and it appears very washed out. I normally shoot at 0 or -3. I like shooting very early or very late. And in questionable weather if I can get away with it. More dramatic lighting. I'm going to post a video from yesterday soon if I can edit out some dead time. I still don't know how to edit but it's time I learn.

Thanks! I'm going to adjust my exposure compensation. Those shots were at -3. On some monitors they apparently appear too dark. I could adjust the brightness in Elements or Picasa. When shooting stills I started auto bracketing to + and - up to 2 stops. I can change that while flying and also switch from still to video and back using the DJI Go software. You should get you a drone. You've got the Rockies in your backyard. I'd like to get back up there and do some flying.

I'm thinking about it. I used to fly RC airplanes back in the 80's.

A quad is probably a lot easier to fly. My brother flies both. He started with planes years ago. He has two homemade quads that are butt ugly but they do a decent job with video. No three axis gimbal so the videos are a bit shaky.

Hey Pounder. I found the drone forum. Thanks. I like the second picture. Now I need to get busy and get some aerial pictures.

Good to see you here. Definitely add pics, video links, drone info, etc. I'd like to see this forum grow. I didn't start it but had considered it. I'm glad someone took the initiative. I started out doing just video from the drone but decided to do more stills. My interest is in getting the commercial license is to do real estate photography. It's going to be a lot work getting the FAA commercial license but I think it will be worth it.
